Hi, I’m Shelley

My path to massage therapy began after many years in the corporate world, when I realised I wanted a career that felt more personal, purposeful and genuinely helpful.

Originally from the UK, I left in 2008 to travel the world with my husband before eventually settling in Sydney. It was there that an introductory massage course changed the direction of my life. I was immediately drawn to the combination of practical skill, human connection and the ability to help people feel more comfortable in their bodies.

I completed my Certificate IV in Massage Therapy in 2016 and, while becoming a mum to three boys, continued my studies to graduate with a Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2019. I began my massage career in a multidisciplinary clinic in Bondi before moving with my family to Umina Beach and establishing Health & Soul Massage Therapy on the NSW Central Coast.

Today, I work with a broad range of clients, with a particular interest in complex and persistent muscular concerns, pregnancy and postnatal care, movement restrictions, and nervous system regulation. Guided by the Ayurvedic understanding that each person is unique, I consider not only where discomfort is felt, but the broader patterns and qualities that may be contributing to imbalance. My treatments blend remedial massage, thoughtful assessment, breathwork, fascial techniques and vibro-acoustic therapy to relieve physical tension, encourage deeper relaxation and support the body’s natural return to balance.

My Approach

My approach is guided by my four-step framework:

Assess • Regulate • Release • Restore

Every person—and every treatment—is unique. I take the time to understand not only where discomfort is being felt, but the wider patterns and qualities influencing your body, movement and overall wellbeing. From there, each session is thoughtfully tailored to provide the kind of support you need that day, helping guide the body away from imbalance and towards greater ease.

Above all, I want my treatment room to feel safe, calm and nurturing—a space where you feel heard, cared for and able to slow down. My intention is for you to leave feeling more grounded, balanced and at home in your body.

I remain committed to ongoing professional development, continually deepening my knowledge so I can offer care that is considered, evidence-informed and responsive to the whole person.

Effective treatment begins with understanding the whole person—not simply chasing the pain, but recognising the patterns and qualities that may be contributing to imbalance.

Remedial massage is more than releasing tight muscles; it is an opportunity to restore movement, settle the nervous system and guide the body back towards its natural state of balance
